even last year, i ended up hiking up mt. kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in africa. i would never have been that adventurous before i started my 30-day challenges.

you might be sleep-deprived, but you’ll finish your novel. now is my book the next great american novel? no.

i wrote it in a month. it’s awful. but for the rest of my life, if i meet john hodgman at a ted party, i don’t have to say, “i’m a ***puter scientist.

” no, no, if i want to i can say, “i’m a novelist.”

现在我认为语感的形成和英语的使用确实离不开阅读。不仅要读，而且声音要大，李阳疯狂英语中说，大声朗读能刺激大脑神经和口腔肌肉，只有大声的读才能让眼，耳，心，嘴都利用起来，以达到全身心的投入，精力才能集中起来。

有时为了提高对课文或知识点的理解，学生在阅读的同时，我也在阅读。因为学生比我更年轻，声音理当比我的宏亮，所以当我发现个别学生只见其口形不闻其声时，我便开玩笑说他“装斯文，有劲不使”。久而久之，学生养成了大声早读的习惯，当读书声变小时，只要我拿书开始读，他们便条件反射般声音大起来了。

二是加强词汇、句型和语篇教学

记住英语单词是学好英语的前提条件，在词汇教学方面，我喜欢把重点放在英语词汇的习惯用法、短语固定搭配、惯用句型上，并要求学生熟练掌握构词规律。我提倡学生把单词放在句子里记住，这样他们不仅对单词有更深的印象，而且知道如何灵活地使用生词。在课文教学方面，强调句型和语篇的有机联系，要求学生以句子为单位，有选择地背一些重要句型，这样既可减轻学生过重的学习负担，又可达到提高书面表达能力的效果。

第三、巧抓阅读，促进写作

阅读不仅是一种能力，也是一种重要的语言学习方法。从某种意义上说，阅读能力的强弱直接关系到学生笔试成绩的高低。我坚持指导课余或课堂上给予部分时间每天做1至2篇阅读题。

As you know, there are four kinds of pollution. They are air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. But what can we do to solve the pollution? I think, firstly, we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. We can ask companies to use modern clean technology.

In some big cities, we can limit the number of cars. Secondly, we can try to use lewater and make sure that we do not pollute the water. We can tell factories that they are not allowed to pour waste water into the lakes and rivers.

Thirdly, we should not throw rubbish in parks and cities. We can pick up rubbish if we see it. We can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. Fourthly, we can live far from the noise and make the laws to limit the noise.

this is a true story.

he was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.

in the late 1930s, when the japanese occupied qingdao, his family had to leave. on his last day in qingdao, he ran to the aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.

he kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. it was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. finally he decided to put right his childish error.

in 2002, he visited qingdao and returned it to the aquarium with his sincere apologies. he received a warm wel***e.

when james visited qingdao, i ac***panied him all the time and reported on his visit. i was deeply touched by his honesty. it has taught me a lot.

i think to err is human. the important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

看完《防溺水》视频，我不禁感慨万千。这一个个孩子多么可怜!他们的父母多么悲痛啊!联想到我自己，虽然我肯定不会和同学结伴去游泳，但学会一些自救，救人的方法也是很重要的。

如果不慎落入水中，首先，一定要调整好心态，不能手足无措的挣扎，这只能导致自己耗尽力气快速沉入水底。此时，正确的方法应是仰起身体，至少让鼻子和嘴浮出水面并用它们相互配合呼气，吸气，直到飘到岸边或有人来救援。

当然，学会救人也很重要。在大人或用粗木条，泡沫板，长竹竿，长绳子等物体的帮助下把人救出后，一定要及时拨打“120”，并清理溺水者口中的杂草，保证其呼吸通畅。如果对方已没有呼吸，一定要及时使用胸外心脏按压加人工呼吸的方法进行施救，并坚持到专业医护人员前来救援才能停下来。

人的生命只有一次，不能重新来过，我们一定要牢记这些血的教训，学会珍爱生命，让生命的花朵能够绚丽的绽开。
