In 1999, I joined the distinguished Professor Yu-Geng Xis research group aiming at Network flow problem solving and Heuristic algorithm research. Soon I was engaged in the FuDan Gene Database Design. My duty was to pick up the useful information among different kinds of gene matching format. Through the comparison and analysis for many heuristic algorithms, I introduced an improved evolutionary algorithm -- Multi-population Genetic Algorithm. By dividing a whole population into several sub-populations, this improved algorithm can effectively prevent GA from local convergence and promote various evolutionary orientations. It proved more efficiently than SGA in experiments, too. In the second semester, I joined the workshop-scheduling research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The scheduling was designed for the rubber-making process that covered not only discrete but also continuous circumstances. To make a balance point between optimization quality and time cost, I proposed a Dynamic Layered Scheduling method based on hybrid Petri Nets. The practical application showed that the average makespan was shortened by a large scale. I also publicized two papers in core journals with this idea. Recently, I am doing research in the Composite Predict of the Electrical Power system assisted with the technology of Data Mining for Bao Steel. I try to combine the Decision Tree with Receding Optimization to provide a new solution for the Composite Predictive Problem. This project is now under construction. Besides, In July 2000, I got the opportunity to give a lecture in English in Asia Control Conference （ASCC） which is one of the top-level conferences among the world in the area of control and automation. In my senior year, I met Prof. Xiao-Song Lin, a visiting professor of mathematics from University of California-Riverside, I learned graph theory from him for my network research. These experiences all rapidly expanded my knowledge of English and the understanding of western culture. I hope to study in depth In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. ①姓名。应当一口报出，不可有姓无名，或有名无姓。
②单位。单位及部门，如可能最好全部报出，具体工作部门有时可以暂不报出。

1、接到面试通知后，最好在家打个自我介绍的草稿，然后试着讲述几次，感觉一下。

面试时间是在下午，我应聘的职位是技术支持工程师。跟我一起面试的.有近三十人，先是笔试，做一份英语水平测试，题目不难，大概四级的样子。笔试结束后是5 个人一组做游戏，一个是将一张A4 白纸剪成一个圈，让组员都可以钻过去；另外一个是瞎子、聋子、哑巴游戏，特无聊，我们5 个人好半天才搞定。在做游戏的过程中，几个部门经理在旁边静静地看着。在每个人做了简短的“做后感”后，第一轮面试就结束了。
第二天，我接到了第二轮面试电话通知。据说是在做游戏的时候，一个部门经理相中了我。部门经理把我带到一间会议室，正式开始了“二面”。我和经理互相打量了一下，心里都在盘算对方的心思，那种感觉好极了。部门经理问了一些常规问题，我都中规中矩地做了回答，这些问题的答案我已经烂熟于心，因此在微笑回答的同时还适当加了些表情做渲染，部门经理不动声色地微笑，我心里暗暗想效果还不错。几分钟后，我已经猜到他大概需要什么样的人——干练、聪明、积极。在以后的谈话中，我也在努力给他这样的印象。大概又过了二十分钟，在一番看似寒暄实则紧张的谈话后，他微微一笑，问我期望工资是多少。 这个时候，我知道我距离“三面”已经不远了。跟部门经理的谈话结束了，离开房间的时候，我抢先一步去开门，请他先走。
在回家的路上，我接到人力资源部打来的电话，说我表现很不错，决定给我“三面”的机会，时间定在3天后的下午。“三面”就是最终面试，要去跟韩国公司中国技术中心的总经理聊天，他才是决定是否雇佣我的人。 那天，我被一个穿着职业装的小姐带到一间办公室，对面就是总经理。我快速地打量了一下，我面前的中年人安详沉稳，一见我进来，马上笑脸相迎，我也报以点头微笑，同时保持警觉，因为我知道，这是职业化的微笑，并不意味着什么。他问到了一些常规的问题，我一一作答，但这时的我已经冒汗了，虽然他一直保持平缓的语速，但我感觉到他和蔼眼神中的犀利。每次回答完后，他都会问我为什么会这样、为什么会那样，一副刨根问底的样子。而且他对我以前的跳槽经历问得比较详细，我隐隐觉得这不是好兆头。
最后一个问题是用英语介绍家乡，他听我讲完之后，微微一笑说，你还有什么问题要问？于是我就问了事先准备的几个问题。“三面”结束，从韩国公司大楼出来，我心想，没戏了。几天后，拒信果然来了，收到信的那一刹那，我难受极了。毕竟开始是抱着很大希望的，好在这种感觉持续时间不长，我告诉自己，这并不算什么，以后还会有很多机会。
感想：如果你认识你准备申请公司的员工，一定要向他了解公司的情况，企业文化、业务特点和工作氛围等，知道的越多越好，这样做会让你对公司和工作有一个清晰真实的了解。有些公司表面上看起来不错，其实工作氛围不好；有些公司名气很大，可对员工十分苛刻；如果事先不知道，好不容易应聘成功，换来的却是失望和后悔。
找工作中有一点很重要，就是要知道谁有权最终雇佣你，而这些人往往最难对付，不需要把所有精力都放在跟人力资源、小的部门经理等这些没有决定权的人身上。我的同学知道我落选后，也很替我惋惜，根据她私下打听，我被拒的原因是跳槽过于频繁，因为韩国公司喜欢稳定的人。

很强的专业性
船员工作是一个很特别的行业，主要体现在工作场所的特别（全球海洋和港口）和职业技术的特别性。船员面试的问题一般来说不像其他面试那样广泛和不测，而是集中在船上工作的程序和技术等方面的考察上。专业性还体现在面试语言的专业性。船员用语、船员英语往往具有本行业的特殊性，行话很多，历史悠久，其他行业并不怎么使用。
国际性
国际海运工作本身便要求船员的挑选具有很强的国际性。其一，船员工作地点是全世界的海洋和港口，要求船员通晓一两门外语，了解世界主要海域和港口或国家的地理及风土人情等等。其二，船员工作的船舶和船上的船员往往国籍复杂，当然货物也具有很强的国际性。其三，船员面试是全世界船员提供国的竞争，这就决定这种面试的国际性。其四，船东以及考官的.国际性。国际航运业本身的特点决定了很多前来中国面试的教官尽管代表某个国家的某个公司，但他们作为雇员也许不是那个国家的公民，有时，两三个考官往往来自不同的国家。另外，有很多外来面试的公司并不是真正的船东，而是管理公司或代理公司。
竞争激烈，往往是好中选优
外派船员往往在收入和待遇等方面高于在国内船舶的船员，因而对应聘者的要求也相对高一些，主要是教育背景、学历、工作经历、外语水平、管理水平等方面。应该说，能够参加外派船员面试并有可能通过面试船员往往都是中国比较优秀的船员。但是，面对激烈的竞争（主要是来自其他船员提供国的竞争和本国船员的竞争），往往船东最终选择的高级船员并不多。
广大应该船员了解以上特点有利于在面试前做到心中有数、有的放矢。
面试的几种方式和注意事项
目前，船员面试有以下四种主要方式：
口头提问和笔头回答(Face-to-face Questioning and Written Work)
船员面试中，考官最基本的办法是面对面口头提问，即考官提问，船员回答。这种方式非常普遍，也就不赘述了。但有时，考官在进行口头提问中会穿插一些要求笔答，特别是香港、台湾和新加坡等讲汉语的考官尤其如此。这种笔答题可能包括在电脑上书写一封商业信件(如Letter of Protest, Sea Protest, Circular Letter等等)、写一篇简单的英文作文、做一些非专业英文测试题、制作一个电子表格、阅读完一篇文章后回答一个或几个问题、直接回答一些问题等等。总之，面试中穿插的笔试一般都不会很长、很复杂。回答这类问题时，首先不要紧张，熟悉问题要求和问题内容，要在动笔或电脑之前稍做思考，在脑海中先规划一下答案的提纲。同时，在做答时还要注意字迹清晰、书法工整、条理清楚，因为笔答的东西往往是考官能够存档并且在今后的查询中使用的东西。
电话面试(Telephone Interview)
电话面试也是一种非常通行的船员面试方式，原因是船员居住地比较分散，而船东又多在国外，对地零散外派来说，电话面试对各方面来说都是一种非常经济的办法。电话面试通常时间紧，没有时间准备。如果预约的面试时间对你来说真是太紧，你可以要求推迟一下，以便有时间调整你的情绪和心情，也有时间大致翻阅一下常用船上英文用语和电话用语。电话面试前，最好在电话旁放一份自己的简历表，因为考官经常要你简单介绍一些你的工作经历和个人情况，有一份书面简历，便于自己回答诸如船名、吨位、航行区域、工作时间、主机辅机和机型和功率等问题时得心就手。电话旁还应该放一支钢笔和一两张纸，以便面试时随时记下考官的问题，特别是比较长的问题。另外，最好在手边放上一标水，以备长时间谈话的急需之用。另外，接电话时最好在显得职业化一些，比如，电话在预约的时间响了，你可以说：“Hello, this is XXXX, a 2nd officer, speaking.”(您好，二副XXXX在接听您的电话)。另外，还有一点需要注意：接电话前，要确保电话接通后周围没有诸如机械声、汽车声、电视或收间机及儿童哭声之类的噪声；接听电话时，也不要发出吃东西、喝水或敲击键盘的声音。电话面试结束后，千万记住对考官表示感谢之辞，你可以说：“Thank you very much for your calling and interview. Hope to see you some day. Thanks.”
电脑面试(Computer Interview)
还有一些正规的大船东和管理公司可能采用电脑程序进行面试，即船员坐在电脑前，根据电脑程序的提示来回答问题。这种面试要求考生有很好的临场经验和较快的文字录入速度，建议广大船员在平时工作时尽量学会使用电脑工作。无纸化网络化办公将是世界办公趋势的主流，也是船上工作的趋势之一。
远程可视面试(Long-distance Visible Interview)
这是一种全新的面试方法。船东和船员不是坐在同一房间面对面地交流式面试，而是考官远在国外自己的办公室，而船员则坐在外派公司的面试房间里，双方或几方面通过可视电话电话会议或网络NET MEETING的形式进行。尽管该种面试方法会受到到设备条件的限制，并且不能使考民对应聘者有全面的了解，但这种面试可以节省经费，是一种逐渐推广的面试形式。目前，国内很外派公司已经安装了这样的面试设施。
世界主要船东的面试特点
目前来看，中国船员主要派往日本、韩国、新加坡、香港等东南亚地区的公司，希腊、法国、德国、挪威等欧洲地区的部分船东公司，以及美国、加拿大等美洲地区的少数公司。因此，了解这些国家船东的基本特点也很重要。下面简单介绍一下几个主要国家和地区船东的面试习惯，供参考。
台湾船东绝大多数都说比较标准的普通话，尽管他们的很多表达法和大陆的有所区别，但是基本相似。台湾船东在面试时很少用英文提问，尽管他们对文是有要求的。但是，香港和台湾的船东提问的技术性问题一般比较细，也比较难，因此，面试前应在专业和技术性问题多做准备，他们并不是很重视生理类问题。
新加坡和香港地区的公司很多高级雇员都是华人，他们对中国一般来说比较了解，对我们的风俗和文化也比较熟悉。他们一般善于提问一些船上技术方面和个人背景方面的问题。当然，新加坡船东也雇佣了一些印度和菲律宾的高级技术职员(如机务总管和指导船长等)。亚洲人的英语发音一般都不怎么样。所以，如果你的英语不错的话，千万别因为不熟悉考官的发音而影响你的发挥。也就是说，当你没听懂他的问题时，不妨让他再重复一遍问题，也许第二次你就懂了。
韩国船东一般对英文和管理方面的要求都不是很高。他们面试时一般更是在“相面”。但是，韩国人也是很注重礼貌的民族，这一点在面试时要特别注意。
日本公司一般很注重管理方面的问题，因为日本人是一个心细且善于管理和协调的民族。日本又是一个广纳世界文明的民族，因此，他们既具备亚洲人的特点，又具备欧美人的某些特点。总之，日本船东面试可能要求船员注意礼节，多准备关于船上管理方面的知识的问题。此外，日本公司讲究等级森严的管理模式，船上组织结构充分体现了船长的对船货人安全的绝对管理权力，这也是和国内公司有所区别的地方。日本人喜欢船员船上能有良好的配合，发挥良好的团队精神，他们也希望下属多尊重上级。日本考官的英语发音一般不太好，语法不太规范；所以，当你没听懂他的话时，可要求他重复一遍。但是，日本比较好面子，不要让人家重复太多。
