我的电脑住宅
在某个城市的边上，有一栋全自动的电脑住宅。这座电脑住宅里安装了一千多台电脑，一切由电脑自己指挥。
电脑住宅的大门外有一个温度计。它可以跟电脑连接，将室外的温度、风力、湿度等。数据输入电脑。电脑根据室外的温度，给主人一个既节能又环保的家庭环境。
要想进入住宅必须要输入密码，门外还有摄像机，能将要进入住宅的人的面貌输入电脑。
进入住宅，悦耳的音乐马上响起。沿着门厅走到储存室，看见储存室里有一个箱子，把箱子打开，便可以看见在房间里没有的东西。
电脑住宅里还有很多功能，电脑住宅里的电脑藏在深处，就连主人也不知道在哪。

The computer is widely used in all phases of society. In industry, business, education, medicine, nearly all walks of life, computers have made their appearance, providing great speed and accuracy(精确度) for our work. Computers have been used in the home, offices, laboratories and research institutions, functioning as the most efficient and versatile(通用的) instruments for calculating, sorting, filing, recording and distributing. Computers are indispensable(不可缺少的) to modern civilization. Without computers, our life and our society will undoubtedly suffer a big regression(后退).
During the past five decades the computer has been rapidly advanced. Ever since the computer came into being, it has experienced the development of several generations, which are based respectively on vacuum tube(真空管), transistor(晶体管) and integrated circuit(集成电路). Early computers were of great size, and had no match for the latest electronic computers in speed and accuracy. The Latter is capable of processing the most complicated information and reaching solution to problems in a fraction of time. At present, efforts are being made not only to bring the hardware to perfection, but also to improve the quality of the software.
Computers must be instructed and programmed by people. In spite of the remarkable skill of the computer, men can never become its slave. Computers are not creative. They work according to men's instructions. So the development of computers and their use will depend upon the ingenuity of men. Although there are times when computers seem to operate like a mechanical “brain”,their achievements are not comparable to what the minds of men are able to do.

The difference between a brain and a computer can be expressed in a single word:complexity.
Even the most complicated computer man has yet built can't compare in intricacy with the brain. Computer switches and comportents number in the thousands rather than in the billions.What's more, the computer switch is just an on-off device,whereas the brain cell is itself possessed of a tremendously complex inner structure.
Can a computer think? That depends on what you mean by "think". If solving a mathematical problem is "thinking", then a computer can "think" and do so much faster than a man. Of course, most mathematical problems can be solved quite mechanically by repeating certain straightforward processes over and over again. Even the simple computers of today can be geared for that.
Surely, though, if a computer can be made complex enough, it can be as creative as we are. If it could be made as complex as a human brain, it could be the equivalent of a human brain and do whatever a human brain can do.
But how long will it take to build a computer complex enough to duplicate the human brain? Perhaps not as long as some think. Long before we approach a computer as complex as our brain, we will perhaps build a computer that is at least complex enough to design another computer more complex than itself. This more complex computer could design one still more complex and so on and so on and so on.
In other words, once we pass a certain critical point, the computers take over and there is a "complexity explosion". In a very short time thereafter, computers may exist that not only duplicate the human brain--but far surpass it.

我有一个“电脑迷”妈妈，只要一有空就玩电脑。她今年三十九岁，个子中等略微有点胖，喜欢穿粉色的夹克。在好看的瓜子脸上有一双弯弯的柳叶眉，下面有一双炯炯有神的大眼睛，一张能说会道的嘴巴，经常给我讲网络的优点和缺点。
妈妈玩起电脑来全身贯注的。记得有一次，妈妈坐在电脑旁和别人聊天。我一进门就闻到难闻的的气味，差点呛晕过去。我急忙跑到妈妈身边问：“妈妈，锅里熬得是什么呀？”妈妈恍然大悟，拍了一下桌子着急的大叫：“不好，这么长时间了！我在锅里熬着绿豆稀饭呢。”急忙跑去关火，可是就在这时，电脑那边的好友有回过话来，妈妈又返回来让我去关火。我不想去，妈妈笑着说：“你帮关火好吗？如果我去，会让他们觉得我很没礼貌。’我只好去关火。我们晚上只好喝糊了的绿豆粥了，这真难喝，焦味很重，我勉强地喝了几口。妈妈不好意思了笑了。
这就是电脑迷妈妈，我希望她以后少玩，保护好眼睛和身体啊！

在这个神奇的网络世界里，我们同住地球村，能做的有很多很多，可以尽情的畅游在信息的高速公路上：了解各国的地域风情;交到来自不同地区的朋友;还可以增长许多见闻，一般在生活中的许多问题都可以在网上得到解决。而我，也喜欢在网上查一些资料啊，看一点书。这样很方便，既不用满大街的找图书馆，也不用想看什么就买什么这么浪费，不过……就是太费眼睛，会加快眼睛的近视速度。虽然有种种的因素是告诉我们玩电脑是件不好的事情，但我还是喜欢电脑，喜欢它的神通广大，喜欢它的见多识广。
在去年寒假快结束的时候，我的寒假作业本上却还是一片空白，因为我有些都是我不会做的题目，根本没教过，绞尽脑汁也想不出来。我心急如焚，不知道该找谁请教!在我快绝望的时候，我终于想到了一个办法———那就是上网查资料!嘿嘿，我真不愧是天才儿童啊!
我先在电脑里打开百度这个浏览量最大的网站，而后就输入自己所想要的问题，再点击“百度一下”就会有许多不同的答案出现。我查找的是“水少沙既现”的.后半句，当我点击好了以后，那么多答案在我眼前，我一看，就知道拉是“有土方成堤”啊!知道答案之后，我欣喜若狂啊!因为我终于知道了该怎样去搜索答案了!
那次之后，我就真正的把电脑当成宝贝儿看。但是我并不是很了解它——神奇的网络就是那么的令人百思不得其解啊!通过这次，我才知道了该怎样的去利用好着个小而聪明的家伙!!
